In response, the Wezesha Community Based Organization (CBO), in collaboration with the International Tree Foundation (ITF), is implementing a landscape restoration project. This initiative aims to restore biodiversity, improve local livelihoods, and enhance community resilience to climate change.

Dundori End of Project Evaluation Report 2024
The “Enhancing Community-Led Restoration and Livelihoods Improvement in and around Dundori Forest” project, implemented by Wezesha Community-Based Organization (CBO) with funding from the International Tree Foundation (ITF), aimed to restore degraded forest areas and improve the livelihoods of adjacent communities. The project was supported by the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) and Dundori Community Forest Association (CFA).
Key activities included tree planting, capacity building, and promoting alternative livelihoods to enhance food security and climate resilience.
This evaluation assesses the project’s socio-economic and environmental impacts, providing critical insights for sustainability, learning, and future project planning.

Bahati Sub-county Farmers' Assesment Survey
This rapid survey report delves into the current status of agroforestry in Bahati Sub-county, Nakuru County. With five wards—Lanet, Kiamaina, Bahati, Kabatini, and Dundori—the sub-county stands as a vital agricultural hub and home to the Dundori Forest, a key water tower in the region.
Conducted by Wezesha Community-Based Organization, the survey explores agroforestry participation levels, tree species preferences, and the challenges faced by local farmers.
With a focus on women and youth inclusion, this report aims to inform strategies for a sustainable agroforestry project proposal aligned with the AFR100 initiative, fostering environmental restoration and community livelihoods.
